Overlooking the Dam site. Some of the lock channels are plainly in view

We visited a farm in Yichang. As we were walking up, the farmer's father was leaving to walk to a nearby cafe to play cards. He posed and left. I am not sure what he is smoking

The family at the top of the path to the farm, Yichang

Garndmother at farm, Yichang

The farmer, his wife and child. Life seems to revolve around the child, even on a farm. Being 'only' children, everyone hovers over the child. China offers an interesting laboratory in child-rearing which appears to have been overlooked so far.

The main bedroom on the farm. Boobs and guns seem to be a universal theme (see wall posters), Yichang

The kitchen. Farm, Yichang

The center of attention. Showing off driving a bike or trike, seems to be an almost universal instinct. Farm, Yichang

This lady was hauling water from the nearby water hole. I am not sure if she was family or an employee. Farm, Yichang

The response to getting cleaned up also appears to be universal. Dad watches the 'bathing' by ? 'Nanny' with delight. Farm, Yichang

Mother and grandmother head off to shop. Yichang

Plowing the fields. Small farm, Yichang
