I have always wanted to get to Newfoundland and finally got there at the end of August 1999. I drove up from Maine by myself. Of course I had to take an overnight ferry from NS to NF. The highlights were the Cabot Trail in NS and St Johns NF which is very charming and historic. The beauty of some of these photos speak for themselves.
A village on Cape Breton Island and Caribou in Newfoundland.
The sunset is in Newfoundland. On the right I am in a coal mine. I am with my tour guide, Mr. Henley. The horse is a prop but his name was Fred. I stopped to take a photo with this family in St. Vincent, Newfoundland. The scenery was breathtaking. On the right, I actually hiked (walked) to this inland fjiord in Newfoundland.

That's my mine guide and a Nova Scotia sunset.
These are from my hotel room in St Johns NF. That's the Atlantic lit up by the moon.

Sunsets in Newfoundland.
And one more for good measure.
