Maine 1999

I spent most of the summer in Maine. I was able to take a few extended trips from Maine.

On one Cathy and I travelled through the Adironacks.  I visited places such as Ausable Chasm which I passed many times but never visited.   We also visited the Finger Lakes Area of New York and included visits to Cornell in Itaca and the Corning Glass Factory.

On another, I visited my medical school classmate Nahum Spinner in Hamilton, then went on to Stratford. From there I visited various towns in Ontario and Quebec that I had heard about since childhood but never visited.  Included was Cochrane, Ontario and Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.  A hockey fan I visited many of the hometowns of my heroes.  I drove back to Maine via Mont Tremblant and stopped for a short visit with medical school classmate Harry Shizgal.

And finally I visited Nova Scotia and Newfoundland (which is in another section).    Follow along the links accordingly.
