Montreal Sept 1999, II

We managed to do a few fun things on this week-end.

Here we are enjoying shooting the Lachine Rapids.  (Susan, William, Cathy, Fred, David and girlfriend Yael).  On the right is William.

Food is an agenda item and we make the rounds.  On the left, I am having a smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz.  I have introduced William to spruce beer and he poses at our Notre Dame Spruce Beer Hole with the bottles he brought back home.

On the left is Susan with my good friend Ellie Zelnicker at Moishes.  And on the right is Cathy with Ellie's husband Sydney.

We visited Caughnawaga where my grandfather, Hyman used to peddle with the Indians.  My grandfather was a friend of Chief Poking Fire.  Susan is in front of a wigwam on the left and the family gathers in a photo with Chief Poking Fire's nephew who is on the right.

That's David, Susan and William at the reservation post.  And Ellie is laughing when I told her where we had been.

Susan is getting bagel.  My grandfather was a co-owner of this place.  It started on the Main, next to Schwartz. Sometimes, I wonder if I should have stayed in the bakery business, although now that I missed out I am considering starting a managed care bagel company

And a trip to Montreak always includes passing Wilensky's which is usally always closed when I visit.
